Obviously, the outfits on the red carpet at the Costume Designer’s Guild Awards are going to be a little more out there than the red carpet for, say, the Set Builder’s Union Awards or the Craft Service Awards, but this year was especially delightful. Marvel at Amber Valetta’s gorgeous heel detail, Sandy Powell’s fabulous dress made of wood-grained pieces of plastic, the kooky getup of costume designer Jennifer Eve (standing with host Jane Lynch and honoree Lou Eyrich), as well as the polished style of attendees Rooney Mara, Kate Beckinsale, and Amber (again).
