What do actors Christian Bale, Richard Gere, Marcus Carl Franklin, Cate Blanchett, Ben Whishaw, and Heath Ledger have in common? If you guessed that they’re all going to play Bob Dylan in a biopic currently in production, you’d be right. The film, I’m Not There: Suppositions on a Film Concerning Dylan, written and directed by indie darling Todd Haynes (Safe, Velvet Goldmine), will feature this odd assortment of actors as Dylan at various stages of his life. A seventh facet of Dylan’s back pages will apparently go unplumbed: Colin Farrell dropped out of the production. David Cross, Michelle Williams, and Julianne Moore also appear in the film.
