“My wife and I went to see Laurie Anderson give
a lecture last week. She was very charming, very
insightful, and very funny. Topically it was all
over the place, going from “O Superman” taking
off into her deal with Warners, her time as the
first and last “Artist in Residence” at NASA (she
only produced a single poem after two years of
traveling to all the famed NASA locations), to
general art and technology. The guy in front of us had his head down the
entire time. We couldn’t tell if he was
concentrating or sleeping. When he started to
snore loudly we were able to figure it out.
It was Laurie’s husband, Lou Reed.” (via Popbitch)
