It’s always a big deal when one of the scene queens in your town finally gets their big break. The frontman and founder of the ultra cool electro-rock band Liquid Blonde, Tyler Stone, has finally put out the first single from his solo EP Voodoo Dollz. But don’t expect a bunch of shambolic guitar riffs and teenage angst antics on this release. The southern-born gentleman has gone dark and backwoods, with a house music style that sounds like a ticking time bomb to your most wicked tryst. Stone is the future perfect addition to the iconic Trax record label that gave us house music legends like Frankie Knuckles, and classic club tracks like Can You Feel It by Larry Heard, No Way Back by Adonis, and Marshall Jefferson’s Move Your Body.
Voodoo Dollz is out now on Amazon.
