Hunter “Pixel” Jimenez created a delightful animated self-portrait in “To the Future with Love,” and his positivity despite various challenges is charming and inspiring viewers.
It played with “Another Hayride,” an homage to positivity in the face of extreme adversity:
As the AIDS epidemic took hold in the early 1980s, self-help guru Louise Hay created a space for healing called the Hayride. Drawing hundreds of gay men confronting a deadly pandemic, Louise promised that self-love would help them overcome AIDS.
Hay, who died in 2017, turned her work with people living with HIV and cancer into the book “You Can Heal Your Life,” which was made into a film:
