Nomi Ruiz of Jessica 6 and Greek producer MANSTA (Manolis Stavroulakis) have teamed up for a cover of George Michael’s A Different Corner. The heart-rending rework is a perfect fit with Ruiz’s sultry voice- which somehow manages to comfort you in an emotional blanket of her pain, passion and aspirations. This IS by far her rawest and strongest track since White Horse and Prisoner of Love in 2011.
Nomi Ruiz is NYC-based trans woman, singer and model who first turned heads as lead vocalist on Hercules and Love Affair’s debut album, with hit single You Belong. She has since formed her own band Jessica 6, and most most recently released dance floor burner Down Low, off The Capricorn EP.
