With troops in Iraq struggling to restore the country’s essential public services, it’s heartening to see the Iraqi people taking matters into their own hands. The Foreign Office has been forced to admit that two of its satellite phones have been stolen and are being used to provide premium rate sex chat services, running up a bill of £200,000 a month for the Government. When MPs asking what had been done to get the money back, the man at the FO was forced to admit that all his staff had done was try to ring the premium rate number. They did not get a reply.
