The new issue of Vanity Fair features Nicole Kidman looking gorgeous, by Patrick Demarchelier. The colors reminded me of two covers I created featuring Kidman; one for the very first Hollywood issue, that I designed for David Harris, which was her first VF cover (I think she’s been on it at least 10 times since then) and for the now defunct Radar magazine 5 years ago. That Radar cover story wasn’t about Kidman so much, but rather a favorite Hollywood obsession, plastic surgery. Kidman has been quoted since about regretting her past Botoxing and now, although older, her look is much more natural and fresh. As if she is the ONLY one in Hollywood to ever have “something done.” In the new VF, she talks a lot about her relationship with fame and her marriage to Tom Cruise, if you care.
