Loosen up those tear ducts WOWers, because after three long years, London’s greatest gift (and rainy-day-afficiando) Adele has released the first single/video off her junior album 25, “Hello.” We are catching all the feels here at World of Wonder and are like:
From her cheekbones, to the telephone booth in the woods (which makes absolute sense, by the way), we can’t get enough of this Xavier Dolan-directed black and white 6 minute masterpiece that might as well be inducted into the Criterion Collection. With no further Adele, here are the 5 things we can’t get enough of about the new video:
1) Um, hello flip phone?!
Whether it’s to annotate time travel from the past or not, there’s something un-ironically perfect about Adele using a flip phone (that she casually intercepts windy reception by having a small gab fest and shuts said flip phone within the first twenty seconds of the vid.)
2) Captain obvious over here, but she looks…
Proof is in the eye of the living legend:
This segues greatly into point number 3, which is…
3) Hello, cheekbones?!
To paraphrase the words of fashion maven Edina Monsoon, Adele’s whole body is just hanging off those cheekbones.
She’s contoured and carved for the gods and serving so much face!
4) Fall Fashion
With a plethora of killer coats (and bad ass leather knee high boots) I see nothing but autumnal ready-to-wear that is definitely Miranda Priestly approved.
Be sure to pre-order her new album 25 and grab a box of kleenex and peep the video on repeat all weekend long:
P.S. Not to brag or anything, but I’m going to put this cute #FBF moment for 2008 right here:
