Over the weekend in a “full-court press” to change hearts and minds the Nevada Senate and as well the Nevada Assembly successfully voted to overturn Governor Jim Gibbons’ veto of the Domestic Partnership bill that bestows many of the same rights as marriage. The bill will now become law on October 1st. Domestic partnership registration, however, is not considered marriage and it falls short of true marriage equality. None the less, it is absolutely a nod in the right direction.
