You hate to see bird-on-bird violence, but that’s exactly what happened yesterday at the Point Grey Golf & Country Club in Vancouver when a golfer filmed an eagle that was flying by.
via TMZ:
What happened next was INSANE … the eagle stalked a seagull — tailing it at full speed, before it finally latched on to the bird with its razor-sharp talons.
The eagle took the ‘gull to the ground … then began eating it — and eventually took off with the carcass like it was a small purse!!
I mean, it’s all part of the circle of life… and we can’t expect alpha predators to behave like little old ladies… Shit happens and death is inevitable…
Sooooo.
Watch or don’t, but I found today’s episode of Marlon Perkin’s Wild Kingdom ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING. (And there is no blood with the carnage. Just fluffy bites of feathered meat)…
Parts one and two below:
PS– Maaaaaaaybe not a good idea to creep up on a three-foot tall eagle engaged in eating his prey, should you happen upon one. Even if you think the video will go viral. He MIGHT get territorial and tear your eyes out. Just sayin…
