If you haven’t heard by now, NYC’s newest QUEEN of Hip Hop, Michael David Quattlebaum aka Mykki Blanco, is taking OVAH!!! Most of the posts on Mykki tend to focus on her being a drag queen or cross-dresser, but they’re really missing the point. Blanco is a lyrical genius with pure, primitive beats as raw as any “traditional” rapper in the last 20 years…minus the heterosexual hegemony.
