MTG Wants to Give George Santos a Free Pass About His Lies –”We All Make Mistakes…”

Marjorie Taylor Greene wants to give George Santos a break…

MTG is urging Republicans to give GOP congressman-elect George Santos the benefit of the doubt after he was caught telling a string of lies about his professional and personal life.

Why? Because he might still be

sincere.”

In a Tuesday evening Twitter thread, MTG came to Santos’ defense after he gave a painful-to-watch interview to Fox News trying to explain away all his lies. Greene, apparently swayed by Santos’ excuse that

we all make mistakes.”

She wrote that he’s

admitting and apologizing for lying about his resume.”

Fox host Tulsi Gabbard and the Dems

are giving [him] zero grace… demanding he resign.”

She then laid into Gabbard.

I think we Republicans should give George Santos a chance and see how he legislates and votes, not treat him the same as the left is.

However, Greene’s op-ed for The Daily Caller last week said

lying to the base is a red line for me.”

The Daily Beast found that, among MANY other lies about real estate holdings, education and employment, Santos had been married to a woman from ’12 to ’17, despite declaring that he is openly gay and

never had an issue with my sexual identity in the past decade.
I dated women in the past. I married a woman. It’s personal stuff.”

Santos told the NY Post,

I’m very much gay. I’m OK with my sexuality. People change. I’m one of those people who change.”

ANNNDDD according to published reports, Santos is also

…currently wanted in Brazil on criminal charges of committing elder fraud and check forgery. He stole checkbooks from the elderly patients of his late mother – who was a home healthcare nurse – and forged the checks to steal merchandise, according to prosecutors in Brazil.

Sounds like he’ll fit perfectly into today’s GOP, right?

Apparently that’s ALL just fine, not if you just say, “Oops! Sorry!”

Tulsi says that George’s actions on the House floor are what is most important, but George has not even had the chance to take action for his district on the House floor because he isn’t even sworn in yet.

Tulsi also says how can his district believe anything he says..
