A video taken from a 7-11 in Thailand shows a gigantically monitor lizard climbing up some shelves and knocking food off as customers shout and scream in the background. According to a local paper “The unusually large creature is believed to have struggled to find food outside following months of dry weather with little rain.”
Shocked customer Narumpa Tangsin said: ‘I only stopped at the shop to buy some food and then saw the huge monitor lizard inside. I wanted to buy a drink but the animal was too close to the drinks aisle.
And I’m sure it’s a common enough occurrence there, but I’d just have to close the store and sign the lease over to him. TAKE IT, IT’S YOURS. I’M NEVER COMING BACK.

And, yes, a shop assistant alerted the police who arrived with reptile handlers to snare the unexpected visitor.
The rescue team arrived at the shop on the outskirts of the capital Bangkok and dragged the monitor lizard out of the store before ushering it away into nearby undergrowth.
So all’s well that ends well.
