No idea if the book is any good (I bought the Kindle version so am unlikely to read it anytime soon – or even ever), but this diagram is waaay cool.
However, Mastering The Hype Cycle just might help explain how earlier this week the LA Times – in two separate articles on the same day in the Business section – argued that the Pornography business and Barry Diller’s IAC find themselves in the ‘Trough of Disillusionment’, when not so long ago they were enjoying the view from the ‘Peak of Inflated Expectations’ and wittering on about synergy etc.
Makes me wonder if really the only thing that’s good for the internet is the internet. Ha! Twitter that!
