Jason Ellis is an MMA fighter, former pro skateboarder, radio host (The Jason Ellis Show) and author. He’s now share aspects of his life including drug use, the abuse he suffered as a kid and sex with women –and with men. Lots of sex with both.
In his new book, Still Awesome: The Trials and Tribulations of an Egotistical Maniac, Ellis talks of being in love with, and sexually attracted to, his wife and at the same time having sex with men.
He’s brought men into their bedroom, had three-way with his wife and a trans woman, and had many, many hook-ups on Grindr.
As Ellis has been opening up on the radio about being sex positive, some in the uber-macho world of MMA fighting, skateboarding and talk radio have suggested Ellis keep his sex with other men out of the discussion.
Ellis told Out Sports from his home in LA,
“They tell me,
‘Man, this isn’t cool you talking about it.’
But I’m going to keep talking about it because they shouldn’t be frowning on it. They tell me to maybe keep it to myself. But maybe not.
Maybe there’s a 17 year-old-guy thinking about killing himself, and he sees me and he thinks,
‘Hey maybe I can just be myself.’
It makes people uncomfortable to know that I do things with guys. They say I rub it in their face. But I’m not. They wanted to read the first book to hear about all the women I’ve slept with. This book is the same, but I talk about sleeping with a bunch of guys and girls. But this goes too far? Really?”
Ellis said he has noticed listenership for his radio show decline a bit since he started talking openly on the show about being bi.
One of those people with a problem hearing about his sexuality was Donald Cerrone. While interviewing Cerrone on his radio show, he reacted badly but didn’t elaborate.
Cerrone then went of Joe Rogan‘s podcast calling Ellis
He told Rogan he just didn’t want to say it to Ellis directly.
“Why didn’t he say this to my face? Instead of just saying it to Joe Rogan a week later? He’s a fucking jerk. I’m completely let down by that guy.”
