A spoof about how men would deal with menstruation features two dudes in a locker room, sharing a box of “Manpax Manpons.”
But instead of coy talk of “blue liquids” and other such nonsense that regularly happens in women’s commercials, the commercial hones in on the product’s technical aspects, including a “reinforced Kevlar skeleton” and “heated therma-core.” In other words, if men had periods, they would be considered a sign of virality.
These men take to their periods like professional athletes getting amped about a big game. By reimagining menstruation as a masculine trait, the clip forces everyone—men and women—to consider the necessity and impact of health.
