In the controversy still surrounding Madonna’s adoption of African baby David Banda, Angelina Jolie is now putting in her two cents – that would be a penny for each of her own Third World adoptees. She said she herself would never dream of going to an impoverished African country with the intent of picking out a baby to adopt. “[Malawi is] a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption,” she said. “Personally, I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal.” Then, after criticizing Madonna and expressing “shock” that she would take David away from his father, she expressed pity for the singer. “I have been horrified by the attacks she’s been subjected to,” she said. “All that should count is the happiness of her little David.” Psycho much?
