We love when researchers research and discover things we either already knew or will never hear about again. A recent finding of researchers – at UCLA this time – is that women get all dolled up when they’re ovulating, usually without even realizing what they’re doing. At their most fertile, women subconsciously attempt to lure men to their nether regions by wearing eye-catching gowns, expensive jewelry, lots of makeup, and more perfume. “In our study, the approach of ovulation had a stronger impact on the way women dressed than the onset of menstruation, which is notorious for its supposedly deleterious impact,” said the study’s co-author. The lead researcher agreed. “The closer women come to ovulation,” she said, “the more attention they pay to their appearance. They tend to put on skirts instead of pants, show more skin and generally dress more fashionably.” Funny, we never noticed. (Source; t/y Nick)
