Forgive me for that headline. Low hanging fruit and all.
Reining pop music queen Lizzo covers the February issue of Rolling Stone magazine, featuring ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS pics by longtime friend of WOW David LaChapelle.
She spoke to Rolling Stone writer Brittany Spanos about her legions of fans and her message of body positivity.
“As a black woman, I make music for people, from an experience that is from a black woman,” she told the magazine. “I’m making music that hopefully makes other people feel good and helps me discover self-love. That message I want to go directly to black women, big black women, black trans women. Period.”
She did note that there are “hella white people” at her shows, especially since “Truth Hurts,” which she first released in 2017, topped the charts last year. “What am I gonna do, turn them away?” she joked. “My music is for everybody.”
