The BBC‘s Little Britain is set to return for a one-off special, called
Matt Lucas and David Walliams are reuniting to bring back the popular show to the radio station where it began nearly 20 years ago.
Little Britain moved from radio to TV in 2003, running for three years and said Radio 4 comedy commissioning editor Sioned Wiliam said,
“Matt Lucas and David Walliams are uniquely talented writers and performers as well as one of the UK’s most loved comedy duos.
It’s a privilege to have them back on Radio 4, where Little Britain first began…”
The Brexit-themed episode was set to air tomorrow on October 31 – the date the Prime Minister wanted the UK to leave the EU.
It will now air on January 31, 2020 after the EU agreed to the UK’s extension request.
Of course, characters returning will include Lou and Andy, Vicky Pollard and Dafydd,
“the only gay in the village.”
Sad, but I’m pretty sure Daffyd thinks he’s STILL the only one.
