The latest A Star Is Born DVD contains split screens of multiple takes of multiple versions of Judy Garland’s “The Man That Got Away.” As is usually the case, the version that made the movie is the best, but the other performances are a revelation – like seeing the Mona Lisa in profile or wearing a hot pink dress. In one full take after another, Judy’s lip-synching is – dare I say – even tighter than Morgan McMichaels’ version of Stacy Q’s “Two of Hearts.” This clip gives you a taste. But the full DVD extras of these mesmerizing performances are Netflix worthy.
