In this YouTube video on her channel, Trixie Mattel reacts to To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar.
To Wong Fu is a 1995 road film directed by Beeban Kidron, starring Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze, John Leguizamo as three NYC drag queens traveling across the country and encountering small town locals that they change forever.

It also stars Blythe Danner (Gwyneth‘s Mom) Stockard Channing (Grease) and has cameos by RuPaul, Lady Bunny, CoCo Peru, Joey Arias and more…)
The title refers to an autographed photo of Julie Newmar (Catwoman, on the 60s TV show, Batman) that they carry with them on their journey. Newmar appears in the film as herself.
Trixie LOVES this film and it IS a gay right of passage, so if you haven’t seen it, see the movie before you clock Trixie reacting to it. It’s pretty great.
Remember, it’s 1995 and these were all BIG stars, so as Trixie says, there’s no way this film would have gotten made then with an LGBTQ cast.
