Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert’s restaurant in Rifle, Colorado, has officially shut its doors.
The Daily Beast’s politics newsletter Pay Dirt reported last month that Shooters Grill’s lease was set to be revoked in August by the landlord.
This Sunday, it closed with a sign out front reading;
“Stay Tuned. #Covfefe.
Boebert said on Sunday after closing the eatery,
We were like a family. I would say Shooters, for any employee, was their life. We lived and breathed it every single day.
They were a part of this culture and brand that we created in Rifle, and there was a lot of pride with that.”
In April we reported on the restaurant’s press for making 80 people sick with food poisoning and her husband that was charged with domestic violence against her and had exposed his tattooed penis to underage girls at a bowling alley.
Did we mention that she’s in the U.S. Congress..?

It looks like @laurenboebert’s Shooter’s Grill has closed and the new owners decided not to renew her lease. According to Boebert’s congressional disclosure forms, the restaurant lost $143,000 in 2019 and $226,000 in 2020. Not sure if that was before or after campaign funds. pic.twitter.com/0aGHwS7YVc
