Producer, DJ, iconoclast, and old chum Larry Tee has a line of clothing – who knew? – made with fun, eye-catching prints and modern silhouettes. I want IT ALL. The club-friendly brand is called TZUJI and was inspired by his own one-of-a-kind vintage pieces that he’s updated into a slick, high-end street gear.
After touring around the world as a DJ, Tee started designing clothes that he could wear onstage that reflected his unique individual style. What started as an experiment quickly turned more serious when Tee’s music star friends started requesting the pieces for their shows and videos. Many of the original pieces were designed from the inspiration of Larry Tee’s one of a kind and vintage pieces he would wear onstage. When they were created in soft luxurious fabrics and the cool sportswear shapes they were like high end version of street gear.
Tee, who first showed TZUJI at London Fashion Week early 2114, has run festivals and nightclub events around the world and has written millions selling songs for artists like of Rupaul, Princess Superstar, Santigold, Shontelle, Afrojack and more. He started designing clothes so that he could have exclusive clothes for his fashionable weekly club nights in London. And the accolades are coming in: Susie Bubble says ‘TZUJI is bound for great things’ and VFiles has sold their first season online already.
Seriously, I’ll take that dinosaur tunic, the human poncho, and the long glitch hoodie. In extra large (aww).
