Jimmy Kimmel gathered some jaw-dropping A-Listers for his second annual RED Shopathon for AIDS research, and they gave us a a fabulous ‘Rat Pack’ themed holiday song: “We’re Going to Hell.” Julia Roberts, Channing Tatum, Neil Patrick Harris, Halsey, Kristen Bell, The Killers and DJ Khaled managed to perfectly skewer their celebrity entitlement, singing about all the fabulous luxuries they have in their lives, but point out that they’re going to pay for it in the afterlife if they’re not more generous.
“Tis the season and we’ve all done so well. But this time our sleigh ride is going to Hell,” NPH sang, while Brandon countered, “We’ve got Ferraris and a weekend home in Carmel. But if we don’t help people with AIDS we’re going to Hell.”
NPH then challenges Channing to a tap-off – and if you’ve ever seen Hail Caesar! you know that Channing Tatum is a WOW on the dance floor. Gaspingly graceful. A joy to watch.
Then Bono comes onstage and… well, just watch.
Now, just for fun, let’s revisit the greatest, gayest musical number of all time, “No Dames” from Hail Caesar! (Trust me, trust me, trust me – WATCH THE WHOLE THING – and you will never look at Channing the same way again.)
