As several commenters have pointed out, this is the very definition of Just Because You Can, Doesn’t Mean You Should…
Kraft Macaroni & Cheese announced this week their partnership with Brooklyn-based ice cream parlor Van Leeuwen to release a limited-edition pint of a mac & cheese-flavored ice cream. Because that is the world we live in, apparently.
“We know that there is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than ice cream. That is why we wanted to combine two of the most iconic comfort foods to create an ice cream with the unforgettable flavor of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese we all grew up with,” Emily Violett, Sr. Associate Brand Manager for Kraft said in a release. “As big fans of Van Leeuwen, we knew they’d be the perfect partner to create this ice cream with us.”
Starting this morning at 11am on the company’s website you can try and score some (a pint will cost you $12). The limited-edition flavor will also be available today at all Van Leeuwen stores across the country (NYC, LA & Houston). And if you’re in New York City, you can try the ice cream for free today while supplies last at an ice cream truck stationed in Union Square from 11AM to 6PM.
Would you ever?
