Kennedy Center honoree Linda Ronstadt clapped back at Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during a State Department dinner last night for Kennedy Center Honorees.
Sam Greisman, the openly gay son of fellow Kennedy Center honoree Sally Field, tweeted about the exchange, which he said came after Pompeo.
“wondered aloud when he would be ‘loved.’”

According to Greisman’s tweet,
“Then Linda Ronstadt got up to get her laurels, looked the fucker right in the eye and said
‘maybe when you stop enabling Donald Trump.’”
Boom goes the mic!
In addition to Field and Ronstadt, this year’s Kennedy Center Honors recipients include Earth, Wind & Fire, Sesame Street and conductor Michael Tilson Thomas.
The ceremony will be broadcast Sunday, Dec. 15 on CBS.
