In a new ad that showcases their “sisterly love,” Kylie and Kendall pose locked in each other’s gaze, with Kylie aggressively mounting her little sis. Um…. OK.
“This season’s Balmain campaign was inspired by a brief, key moment that happened while we were shooting our last campaign,” Olivier Rousteing said in a statement. “While I watched Mario capture a kiss last fall, I was struck by the love and emotion that I was witnessing in front of me. Starting with a determination to once again focus on the beauty of an intimate connection, my team and I quickly concluded that a celebration of the unique and unconditional love of siblings is a natural progression from the spirit of last season.”
Along with Kendall and Kylie, siblings Joan and Erika Smalls, Gigi and Bella Hadid and Armando and Fernando Cabral also star in the campaign, shot by Mario Sorrenti (see pics below).
And although both girls are virtually unrecognizable in the pic, it’s still quite a coup for them and the Kardashian brand, wouldn’t you say? Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing is, of course, a close friend to the Kardashian-Jenner family. People magazine points out that “Kim and Kanye fronted the spring/summer 2015 ads for the high-fashion label, also shot by Mario Sorrenti. (Kim famously wore his minidress to her wedding reception and one to her pre-wedding dinner, which Rousteing re-created for her new selfie wax figure.)
And the family ties with the brand: Kendall joins model Jourdan Dunn as one of the faces behind Balmain’s forthcoming capsule collection for H&M (landing November 5). The collection will be available in 250 H&M stores worldwide and online and will feature both men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. Plus, practically every woman in the family has worn something Balmain on the red carpet.”
