Last night I was yards away from some of the BIGGEST names today – Katy Perry, Sara Bareilles, Tegan and Sara, and Ellie Goulding. It was, to say the least, a gay man’s dream come true.
From the pit I could see everything – the sweat, the spit, the raw female talent. The show was nothing short of brilliant: fireworks, confetti, fog machines, and muscled backup dancers helped to keep my eyes glued to the stage.
Riddled among pre-teen girls, gays, children and parents, I had a moment: Sara Bareilles and I made extended eye contact – no really, I swear.
The concert was also for a good cause, all proceeds went to support the Young Survival Coalition in the fight against breast cancer.
And I never thought I would say this, but this morning I found myself dancing around the apartment to Tegan and Sara. I feel as though I’ve come closer to understanding my lesbian neighbors.
