Too soon, Choupette! Too soon! Have some respect for your hooman. He’s not even cold in the ground yet, you profiteering puss!
Possibly in retaliation for being chopped from Karl Lagerfeld‘s will, his beloved kitty cat Choupette has launched a limited edition collection of commemorative t-shirts, mugs, and iPhone cases. The #RIPDaddy collection is available from her official online merch store.
As a press release explains,
“While this has been a heartbreaking time, the Choupette’s Diary fans, followers, and fashion folk have filled her with love and support for which she will be eternally grateful. With this love and support, it has given her strength to put her best paw forward and launch a commemorative #RIPDaddy collection.”
A “select portion” of proceeds will reportedly benefit the Helen Woodward Animal Center in California.

Dear Dahhhlings, Following the recent loss of Daddy, I went into mourning. While this has been a heartbreaking time, you’ve flooded my DM’s with love and support. Reading each message, I found my voice again, inspiring me to put my best paw forward with the commemorative #RIPDaddy collection. A portion of the proceeds from select items will be donated to the @hwac. I chose this private non-profit organization because of their 40-year commitment to people helping animals and animals helping people. Located on 12 acres in Rancho Santa Fe, California, their nationally recognized Center provides a variety of services that benefit the community through educational and therapeutic programs for people, and humane care and adoption for animals. Together, we will persevere. I ask that all humans show their support by shopping the collection using my bio link. Then, wear & socially share the RIP Daddy collection, tagging moi and using the hashtag #RIPDaddy. With Love, Choupette’s Diary

A letter from Choupette upon Lagerfeld’s passing:
To Daddy’s Fans, Followers, and Fashion Folk,
It is with great sadness that I confirm my Daddy Karl Lagerfeld has passed away on February 19, 2019. He was a true icon who touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with, especially moi. He will forever live in my now broken heart and the hearts of all his supporters around the world.
I am eternally grateful for the life and love he gave me through adoption. I will never forget the moments we’ve shared together traveling, exploring, and creating.
May Daddy Karl Lagerfeld’s memory live on forever through his work and may we never forget the creative genius who now sits in heaven beside Mommy Coco Chanel.
Daddy Karl’s Biggest Fan, Choupette
