Here is Lane Garrison’s court-ordered Don’t Drink and Drive PSA, “Graduation Day,” with a sickening reenactment of his car crash in which a 17-year-old boy died. It appears to have been edited since it first aired; you no longer hear a girl scream, “My boyfriend is dead!” Sadly, this is Lane’s best performance to date and would make an impressive addition to his audition reel. He’s due in court this morning to be sentenced, facing a possible maximum six years in prison. Chances are, he won’t be getting a prison break.
UPDATE: Superior Court Judge Elden S Fox of Beverly Hills declined to sentence actor Lane Garrison this morning, saying he needed more information about Garrison’s psychological condition before making a decision. He wanted to make sure he was treating Garrison as he would a non-celebrity, and ordered the actor to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and return to court on October 31. Meanwhile, he’ll spend the next 90 days in custody. (LA Times; E! Online)
