Well, first of all, have you SEEN the the mother! trailer? It’s absolutely TERRIFYING. Just BATSHIT INSANE. What. Is. Even. Going. On?

mother! – directed by Lawrence’s BF Darren Aronofsky – was reportedly so dark and so disturbing that JLaw had a hard time decompressing between scenes. In a recent Vogue cover interview, she credits reality television — the Kardashians, to be exact — for getting her through.

“I had to go to a darker place than I’ve ever been in my life…” The actress says of the experience, “I didn’t know if I’d be able to come out OK…I ended up getting on oxygen. I have oxygen tubes in my nostrils, and Darren’s like, ‘It was out of focus; we’ve got to do it again.’ And I was just like, ‘Go fuck yourself.'”

The crew also set up a safe-space they nicknamed the “Kardashian tent”for her to escape to and watch episode after episode of the family reality show.

“It was a tent that had pictures of the Kardashians and Keeping Up with the Kardashians playing on a loop—and gumballs,” Lawrence says. “My happy place.”

Whatever works. For me, it’s Pop Tarts and Rick & Morty.
