The Hollywood Reporter announced today that Ryan Reynolds is producing and starring in the adaptation of the Hasbro board game, Clue, and that Jason Bateman, who just picked up an Emmy for his directing on the Netflix series Ozark, is in talks to direct.
Clue, of course, was previously adapted into a 1985 feature starring Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn and Christopher Lloyd.
Now: Let’s play a little game of Pros and Cons here.
Pro: I’ll watch anything with Ryan Reynolds, he’s absolutely hysterical.
Con: Clue is absolutely iconic and does’t need a remake. Period
Pro: However, if the script is right, and the casting is full of today’s funniest, campiest stars (Catherine O’Hara, Kristin Wiig, Megan Mullally, Kate McKinnon, Tiffany Haddish, Awkwafina, Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, John Mulaney, Billy Eichner…) I MIGHT be persuaded to give it a chance.
Con: Is Jason Bateman really the man to direct this? I’m not convinced…
Pro: Anything that gives me the opportunity to revisit these GIFs is OK by me…

Con: Leave your CONS in the Facebook comment section…
