The more-likeable-every-day actor/rock star tells Nylon that despite all the acclaim he’s getting for Dallas Buyers Club, he would much prefer sitting at home creating art. “I’m actually a very private person, ” he tells the magazine. “If you read between the lines, you’re only going to find more lines. I’m not a reality star. I went to art school. I thought I would be an artist. That’s all I really wanted to share with people. I still feel the same way.” Which, six months ago, I might have thought was a douchey thing to say, but now I’m inclined to give him a pass. Funny how one good role and my whole perception of him has changed.
