James Hong has been acting for over 66 years and blazed a trail for other Asians in Hollywood. Now there’s a push to get the 90-year-old his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, led by actor Daniel Dae Kim.
James’ well-known work includes Blade Runner, Seinfeld, Wayne’s World 2, Big Bang Theory, and his voice work in Kung Fu Panda as Mr. Ping and Mulan as Chi-Fu.
This hour-long summary of James’ work doesn’t have time for everything!
You can join the hundreds who have helped raise almost half the money needed already. And if you or someone you know has a lot of money to support this cause, Daniel is sweetening the deal with some other great actors who have benefited from James’ hard work opening doors:
If you’re generous enough to donate $5,000 or more, we have a special gift for you: a 30 minute group zoom call with me, Ken Jeong, Ming Na Wen, and Randall Park! Consider it our way of personally thanking you for your support.
It’s time James Hong was honored in the way he deserves, and it’s time to show him how much he -and all the actors of color of earlier generations – have done to pave the way for us today.
Thank you for joining me. I look forward to celebrating his star together!
Daniel Dae Kim
