Is Katy Perry’s “Roar” Just Sara Bareilles’s “Brave” with Emoticons?

Katy Perry debuted her new single “Roar” this week, which the internet thinks sounds suspiciously like Sara Bareilles’s annoying earworm “Brave.” Listen to them both here and decide for yourself. I really only reccomend the first minute of both though, or you’ll turn into a pile of warm, vanilla goo. And seriously, Katy, 3:57 of emoticons? I thought you said we were done with the cutesy-woostsy shit, isn’t that why you burned your blue wig? Grrrr.
