Yesterday I posted a pic of a packed, maskless party on Fire Island with some serious Facebook shaming of the attendees.
Today a friend alerted me to posts by Corey Hannon, who hit Fire Island while saying he was recovering fromh COVID-19.
Hannon wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post,
“I wanna Kiki but my body says, nope not yet… thought the COVID was gone.”
On June 30, he wrote,
“Random as hell but feeling grateful! 11:18 p.m. Day 7 and my body has decided it is done with COVID-10. Praying I wake up tomorrow with this good feeling and it’s not just a tease.”
On July 3, Hannon shared his vacation packing list on Facebook, which included body glitter, booty shorts, and new speedos.
“All ready to get the fuck out of the city to Fired Island to celebrate the fucked up thing we call America.”
On July 4, Hannon started to once again feel sick. He wrote on Facebook,
In a screenshot of direct messages shared with Hannon, who’s originally from Sarasota, Florida responded to the backlash he received online. Hannon said,
“You know what? I did have covid. Everyone knows I had covid. And you know what I did? I sat in my fucking bedroom and quarantined myself for 8 fucking days and suffered through covid!”
“And now I’m out celebrating. So, go fuck yourself and I hope you all get fucking covid! you nasty troll! Thank you for sharing this story. You are so brave. I’m moved.”

Hannon has since taken down the posts and put up this explanation/apology? video on Facebook, with this timeline.
Here’s my apology, comments, and my story.
Because I failed to mention dates of my COVID timeline here they are:
June 22- begin feeling ill
June 30- tested for the first time
July 3- left my apartment for the first time
July 4- went to fire island (12 days after my first symptom)
*STILL WAITING ON TEST RESULTS AND HAVE NOT TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID TO THIS DAY*
Have a good night.
