Officials at the Bremerhaven Zoo in Bremen, Germany, sent for some Swedish penguins to infiltrate the penguin enclosure when they realized that three of their five birds were gay and six were in committed homosexual relationships. Like impatient grandparents, the zoo officials wanted babies. So they turned to Sweden. You know how sexy those Swedes are; if they can’t get some hot bird-on-bird action going on, well, they’ll just have to adopt.
But introducing the Bremerhaven penguins to their new Swedish friends may not be as successful as hoped after earlier experiments revealed great difficulties in separating homosexual couples. In case they show no interest, the zoo has also flown in two new male penguins “so that the ladies don’t miss out altogether.”
