The head teacher of The Oaks Primary School in Ipswich, Tina Jackson, has banned hot cross buns from the school canteen as they might offend pupils. She said that “for our students who are Jehovah’s Witnesses, hot cross buns are not part of their beliefs.” But muffins and brownies, of course, are and have remained on the menu. But they are not part of my beliefs. So I might go and burn down Mrs Jackson’s office.
