An Hungarian travel agency has decided to cash in on the recent flooding of the River Danube by offering ‘disaster tours’ to tourists in and around Budapest. For a modest fee, you can be guided around the city’s hottest and most dangerous disaster spots. This got me thinking about the world’s “greatest disasters,” so I searched for the term on Google, and third up was this website and this adrenalin-fuelled video. Evidently, a terrible disaster took place in Cambridge, and although the town gets a lot of tourists already, they might want to employ the ingenious Hungarian tactic. Or maybe not. Disaster junkies will not be impressed by the video, but I just love the way our commentator complains: “Fuck that’s my new boat as well.”
