Jeffrey Kalinsky has raised over $5 million for his Jeffrey Fashion Cares organization. Their website lays out the work they continue to do,
“We’ve come a long way but…
28 states still have no express sexual orientation anti-discrimination law and 31 have no express gender identity anti-discrimination law.
This year, 50,000 young gay men will become infected with HIV right here in the United States.
Over 30% of LGBTQ youth suffer physical violence at the hands of a family member after coming out,
and nearly one-third are thrown out of their homes because of their sexual orientation.”
Monday night’s event in NYC at the Intrepid Air & Space Museum benefited ACRIA, Hetrick-Martin Institute, and Lambda Legal and the legendry Joel Grey introduced LGBT activist Peter Staley, who received the Leadership award. For more info about Jeffrey Fashion Cares, go here.
The particularly hot parade of male models (is there any other kind?) from 2015’s event looked even better half-clothed backstage. You’re welcome.
