A few things about the fabulous Amy Winehouse. She just won a Ronnie Scotts Award in London for Jazz Crossover Album of the Year, and you already know she’s been tapped to perform at the MTV Movie Awards on June 3, reported to be her first live US gig. But you might not know (and, jeez, you might not want to, but we’re telling you anyway) that Liza Minnelli’s ex, David Gest, loves her so much that he has said, “I would kiss the mole on Amy Winehouse’s face and every tattoo on her body, and I’d stick my tongue in the gap where her tooth is missing.” All right, get that image out of your head: Take a deep breath – in through the nose, out through the mouth. Rod Stewart says he wants to record a duet with her. “She’s got a touch of Billie Holiday in her voice,” he said. “And she doesn’t seem to give a fuck, which is admirable.” Barbara Broccoli, producer of the OO7 movies, has approached Winehouse to star opposite Daniel Craig in the 22nd James Bond film, scheduled for release next year. It was her “embodiment of the retro glamour of the original movies” that inspired Broccoli to want to cast the singer as a Bond Girl. So the girl is currently hot. (See also)
