Steven Noss is a superstar on the fantasy hair circuit – a living legend whose mountainous weaves and fanciful whipped cream creations wow audiences and private clients alike.
With hair designs featured in over 100 magazines and newspapers worldwide, it’s no wonder the definition of celebrity hair designing is Steven Noss. “Weaven Steven” coined and earned his name by making his mark as one of the foremost fantasy hair designers in the circuit. Winning clients and drawing attention from around the globe, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native electrifies audiences with his zany antics, charisma, and passion for out-of-this-world hair.
I vividly recall being a judge on The Rickie Lake Show for a “Weave Wars” episode, when he blew the competition out of the water with his magical hair-helicopter-with-moving-propeller look. We all FELL OUT OF OUR SEATS. It was magical. Brilliant. And so unexpected. Like everything he does.
He is, as they say, unbeweavable.
He recently collected some of his most iconic looks into a coffee table book – Weaven’s World – that is an absolute must for big hair aficionados and weave divas. You won’t believe the looks he dreams up: Enormous piles of frosting-like ‘dos covered in jewels… spiky bird-like fantasies… nutty hair-hats and billowing sheets of curls with tiny creatures peeking through…. Check out just a few of his creations below.
Photographer Aaron Lebacki and makeup artists Joseph Reihart and Crystal Cisneros worked closely with Noss to create the book. Shot in studios and on location at far-flung places like Gator Park in Miami, the Ampro factory in Memphis, and the Brewster Housing Projects in Detroit, “the final product showcases that cross-country adventure and Noss’s own journey to remind fans that no matter what happens in life, one must venture forth despite life’s roadblocks to achieve one’s goals.”
Weaven’s World is THE must-have holiday gift this year.
