“Think Donald Trump is divisive?” a title card asks at the beginning of Hillary Clinton‘s new campaign commercial. “Meet his running mate, Mike Pence. As governor, Pence was willing to shut down Indiana’s economy to allow discrimination against LGBT people.”
Hillary Clinton then highlights Pence’s appalling Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), which allowed businesses to discriminate on the basis of the sexual orientation or gender identity under the guise of their so-called ‘religious freedom.’ There was an immediate backlash that ended up costing the state $60 million after many LGBT-friendly companies protested with economic sanctions.
She also calls Pence out on his willingness to shut down the government to defund Planned Parenthood, his dream of overturning “Roe vs Wade,” and his anti-immigration reform platform.
“Donald Trump and Mike Pence,” the final card reads, “building a great big, beautiful wall… between progress and America”
