Season 9 of American Horror Story is said to inspired by classic slasher films of the ’80s and will be set at a summer camp.
‘To celebrate the first day of filming the NINTH Season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY, here’s the official 1984 cast announcement along with some amazing 80s lewks. Enjoy!’ Ryan Murphy said.
As you can see from the quick teaser below, many familiar faces are planning on rejoining the cast, including Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd and Cody Fern.
And, yes, yummy wowlebrity Gus Kenworthy is set to play Emma’s boyfriend.
He said on Instagram:
‘Wow, I still can’t fucking believe this is happening!
‘I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this incredible cast!!!’
There will also be a few missing notable names including Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, who have appeared in every season so far.
Paulson may appear in a smaller role, according to Variety, but Peters is taking a break.
‘It’s just exhausting,’ Peters said.
‘It’s really mentally draining, and you don’t want to go to those places ever in your life.’
He also said: ‘And so, you have to go there for the scenes, and it ends up integrating it somehow into your life. You’re in traffic and you find yourself screaming and you’re like, “What the hell? This isn’t who I am.”‘
