Last night the Stephen Colbert-produced Our Cartoon President premiered and, SURPRISE! it IS funny.

Showtime made the premiere episode available to stream online last night ahead of its official February premiere, just in time for Trump’s first State of the Union address.

At the center of course, is Trump himself, who opens the premiere with a disclaimer,

“Some people are worried that this show might humanize me. Well, too late, folks. After my recent physical, Dr. Ronny assured me that I am a human being and there’s no cure for that.”

And there may have been some stealing going on. Colbert told TV critics,

“I think Michael Wolff stole all 10 of our episodes. There is nothing in that book that’s not in our show and we just guessed.”
