Step aside, Higgs Boson. Move over, hover boards. The greatest discovery of the 21st century was just announced – and it will have you moaning with delight. A new type of chocolate has just been invented, Ruby chocolate, named after its red hue, which contains a special Ruby Cocoa bean and is said to tastes like berries, although no color or extra berry extracts are added.
It joins the three existing types of chocolate: milk, white, and dark chocolate and is first to be discovered since white chocolate shattered the minds of chocophiles in the 1930s.
The groundbreaking sweet was created by Swiss chocolate giant Barry Callebaut and launched to a panel of chocolate experts in Shanghai, China.
A Barry Callebaut spokesman said: “Ruby chocolate is the fourth type of chocolate and is an intense sensorial delight.
“A tension between berry-fruitiness and luscious smoothness.”
I think I see a Nobel Prize in Mr Callbaut’s future!
