Because you can never start celebrating Christmas too early, Justin Bieber has released the first video from his Under the Mistletoe album in the middle of October (REALLY, DUDE?) and, yes, it’s full of all the holly jolly, doe-eyed douchebaggery you’ve come to expect from the Canadian songbird. “I should be playin’ in the winter snow,” he trills, “But Imma be under the mistletoe.” See how he does that? Simultaneously reminding us that he is still just a boy, but also a badass baller who says urban-sounding things like “Imma be”? The song is mostly non-offensive wintery pablum, with lots of jingle bells in the background and such, although I do believe this is the first Christmas carol to use the word “shawty” in its refrain. Expect to hear it EVERYWHERE this coming season.
