Matt Drudge reports today that Court TV’s Diane Dimond has obtained a restraining order “against the leader of a Michael Jackson fan contingent” outside the courthouse in Santa Maria. Apparently, he’d been yelling, “Bitch, bitch, bitch” behind Dimond’s television reports. We know the guy, his name’s BJ and he’s in the Camp Michael Jackson feature-length documentary WOW’s currently filming, a shorter version of which was recently broadcast on Sky One in the UK. BJ’s a HUGE fan of Jackson’s. But he’s not the only verbal guy out there: he’s just one of many passionate fans and protesters making noise, so the restraining order seems harsh. Earlier this afternoon, WOW’s Chris McKim emailed a short report from the scene.
It’s been a really great day so far. MUCH more action today than yesterday and beginning much earlier. Things really are starting to heat as fans, protesters, and the media pour in. Virtually non-stop action!!! Lots of taunting arguments with religious crazies and the fans. Signs and debates feature “homo sex is a sin,” “sinners burn in hell,” “execute all homos,” etc. BJ threatened with arrest. Fans screaming at Diane Diamond of Court TV to “Burn in hell bitch.” Jesse Jackson telling BJ, “You’re the man, BJ” – seriously! Canadian reporter flubbing his story over and over. More later.
Here’s a touching clip from the Camp Michael Jackson doc of the softer side of hardcore MJ fans Evalie and BJ.
